Privacy notice
This notice covers the saeta.io website and the launch waitlist. The Saeta apps will get their own privacy policy before they launch. In short: we only have your email address if you give it to us, we only use it to tell you about the launch, and this site sets no cookies.
Who is responsible
The controller of your data is The Walking Puffin. Contact: support@saeta.io.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you join the waitlist. We ask for nothing else. Brevo sends you a confirmation email, and you are only added once you confirm.
- Anonymous visit statistics, through Plausible: the page viewed, the referring site, your browser, operating system and country. Plausible uses no cookies and does not store your IP address, so it cannot identify you or follow you across websites.
- The same kind of anonymous statistics through Umami, open-source analytics software that we run on our own server. Umami also uses no cookies and does not store your IP address.
- No access logs. Our web server does not keep a record of visitors' IP addresses.
Why, and on what legal basis
- We use your email address only to tell you when Saeta launches and when early access opens. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
- We use visit statistics to see whether the site works, for example how many visitors join the waitlist. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site (Article 6(1)(f)). The statistics are aggregated and cannot be linked to you.
Who processes it for us
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) stores the waitlist and sends the emails.
- Plausible (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia) provides the visit statistics.
Both are EU companies that store data in the European Union and act only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.
Umami, the second statistics tool, runs on our own server, so that data is not shared with any other company.
How long we keep it
Your email address stays on the waitlist until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and for no longer than 12 months after Saeta launches. Visit statistics exist only in aggregate form.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before. Write to support@saeta.io and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies and loads no third-party fonts or trackers. If you pick a light or dark theme, the choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the page remembers it. It never leaves your device. When you submit the waitlist form, your address goes directly to Brevo.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we will tell you by email first.
